Snorkelling is the perfect introduction to the sea and underwater life. Almost anyone who can swim can enjoy this sport and it provides the ideal platform for progression to S.C.U.B.A. The Limerick Sub Aqua Club provides all the training you will need to experience the adventures of the underwater. Both Snorkel and S.C.U.B.A training are provided though the guidance of experienced instructors within the Club.

Throughout the winter our club trains every Tuesday evening at the UL Sports Arena in their fabulous 50m indoor pool. Peter Walsh, assistant training officer from Limerick Sub Aqua Club leads the training every Tuesday night.

Peter is an avid snorkeler and free-diver. He encourages members to improve their stamina and breathing techniques though snorkeling - to the benefit of their fitness to dive. Peter has also developed the popular workshop, "Better Breathing for Divers". Whether you want to Snorkel for extended periods or just increase your bottle times this workshop will show you how using latest technology and computer software.

During the warmer months the club will hosts various free diving events to put what is learned from the winter training into practice.
