Notable Events

The Club Compressor started off the year in the Redemptorist s Monastery, from there, it moved to the

Olde Tom Bar in Thomas St. and ended up the year, amidst much aggravation, in Patsy Hogan s

Garage in Ennis.

 

5- 4- 74: Club Hop , hosted by John Martin, kicked off in the Royal George Hotel .

 

Aug 74: Irish Open Spear fishing Championships ..Fintan Mullowney came in 5^th. while John Martin

and Jimmy Conners took 1^st and 2^nd Novice prizes.

 

9/15- 9- 74: Wonderful Eurofish 74 , the European Spear fishing Championships take place in Kilkee.

 

9- 10- 74: An Open Night, with a view to canvassing for new members was held in N.C.E.P.

 

10- 10- 74: Two Mile Inn hosted an open forum of Club Members to discuss the Club s view on the

increasingly controversial subject of Spear fishing.
